We’re now seeking an experienced Nutrition Sales Specialist to grow ADM’s presence across North / Central Waikato, working closely with farmers and feed partners to deliver practical, profitable, and sustainable nutrition solutions.
This is a role for someone who is known, trusted and credible in the farming community - someone who understands the realities farmers face and can translate nutritional expertise into on-farm performance and commercial value.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of the North/ Central Waikato region to:
Provide high-quality, practical nutrition advice that delivers real on-farm outcomes
Maintain existing customer accounts and secure new prospects in the region through the sale and supply of concentrate feed requirements
Support the development of annual sales plans for the region providing regular sales reporting, market intelligence and customer feedback
Ensure the effective management of contracts through accurate records and data, supply and demand analysis, and collaboration across the wider ADM team
Support customers and feed partners to uplift nutrition capability, providing blend options that optimise animal performance while meeting sales targets
Attend industry and networking events, representing ADM and fostering a strength of reputation through service excellence, integrity and visibility in the rural community
You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with ADM’s commercial, logistics, and customer service teams to deliver seamless outcomes for customers.
About you
You’ll be someone farmers respect and listen to - comfortable having meaningful conversations about performance, profitability, and well-being, with an empathy for the rural sector.
You’re likely to bring:
A deep affinity with and strong connections to the farming community - your credibility and passion for animal well-being are second nature.
Proven experience (5 years+) in nutrition sales, animal health, or agricultural advisory roles
Knowledge of animal nutrition, feed systems or animal health (formal qualifications advantageous but not essential)
A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and grow sustainable revenue
Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with advanced IT and systems (CRM) capability
Confidence presenting, networking and representing ADM at industry events
High levels of autonomy, self-motivation, organisation and integrity while valuing team collaboration and shared success with your peers.
