About the role
With this being a small but growing firm, you will be involved in a variety of activities centred around people and employment law.
- Advising and representing clients on employment law matters, including personal grievances and disputes, legislative compliance, employee processes, and organisational restructures.
- Conducting independent investigations into employment matters, including allegations of bullying, harassment, and complex workplace issues.
- Representing clients at mediation and in legal proceedings.
- Drafting high-quality legal documentation, agreements, and policy, ensuring clarity and alignment with client needs.
- Leveraging a wider network of experts, coaches, and advisors to create sustainable employment strategies.
You will also have the opportunity to carve out your own career pathway and develop niche areas of “people & culture” practice to meet your professional ambitions, broadening the capabilities of the firm.
Skills and experience
Our ideal candidate will have;
- A strong foundation in employment law with a current practising certificate.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling legal documentation.
- A psychology and well-being lens, understanding the human dynamics of employment disputes.
- High attention to detail and resilience in handling complex legal and conflict-based work.
- A client-focused, strategic mindset, capable of transitioning seamlessly between corporate and individual clients
- The ability to forge customer relationships as both a technical expert and a trusted advisor.
- Self-starter, who has a can-do and progressive attitude towards continual improvement.
