About the role
As Afimilk’s Customer Support Specialist, you will work alongside farmers, the Afimilk sales team and dealerships to provide on-going pre-sales and post-sales support. This role is all about ensuring dairy farmers understand how to navigate AfiFarm software to best manage their herds efficiently and sustainably.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, loves solving problems, and knows how to connect with people — especially farmers.
You’ll become the go-to expert on Afimilk’s farm management software (AfiFarm), helping farmers get the most out of their technology. You’ll deliver hands-on training, troubleshoot challenges, and collaborate with both local and international teams to ensure every farmer feels confident, supported, and heard.
While you’ll work remotely from your home office, you’ll spend a good portion of your time out on the road, visiting farms across the South Island, and occasionally supporting events, dealer visits or team meetings in other regions. You will:
- Be a trusted AfiFarm expert – understanding the software inside out and how it impacts day to day dairy operations.
- Provide exceptional pre and post sales support to farmers and dealers – via phone, online, or in person.
- Support Afimilk’s dairy farmers with training sessions (one-on-one and group) and deliver webinars and presentations so they gain the most value from Afimilk’s monitoring, automation and milking intelligence solutions.
- Tackle service calls and tech queries by listening deeply, analysing the issue and tailoring solutions that work.
- Be the face of Afimilk, represent the business and brand at field days, conferences, industry events and trade shows – sharing our story and supporting our customers.
- Report and collaborate closely with Afimilk’s Application Support Manager for NZ & AUS to ensure all Afimilk farmers and dealers are happy and well-supported.
- Work closely with the Afimilk Sales team across New Zealand to assist with pre-sales presentations to individual or groups of farmers.
- Create visual training content - articles, tutorials, brochures and presentations to empower farmers to use our tools effectively.
- Keep everything organised via our CRM (Salesforce), ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
