About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to make waves in the vibrant South Waikato business community. Reporting directly to the Business Development and Relationship Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for local businesses, creating lasting relationships and driving growth.
As Business Development Lead, you will:
Hunt for new opportunities: Identify key businesses and market sectors to grow the Chamber’s presence in South Waikato.
Build a robust business network: Use your networking skills expertise to create new business opportunities for your South Waikato members.
Become an expert: Learn all about the Chamber’s Local, National and Global products and services, and tailor solutions for prospects and members.
Collaborate: Attend monthly meetings with key players like South Waikato District Council and the South Waikato Investment Fund Trust.
Host engaging events: Assist with creating and hosting quarterly events that educate, and inform members and grow the Chamber’s membership base.
Keep the momentum going: Track your progress with regular reports on membership sales activity and outcomes.
Maintain strong relationships: Keep in touch with key South Waikato decision-makers through calls and face-to-face meetings to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
About you
We’re on the lookout for a go-getter with a knack for business development and building lasting relationships. You’ll need:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, and account management.
- A strategic mindset to develop and execute business growth plans that deliver results.
- A track record of hitting deadlines and managing priorities.
- Polished presentation skills and strong communication abilities to connect with professionals at every level.
- A can-do attitude, and the ability to execute results in a dynamic, small-team environment.
